The Direct Marketing group is responsible for developing and implementing
targeted direct response marketing strategies to support business line
growth objectives. This position's primary role is to provide analytical
support by providing marketing and consumer insights to inform our direct
marketing learning agenda.

Senior Analysts in Direct Marketing provide analytical, strategic thinking
and leadership skills to deliver greater return on direct response
marketing investments. Focusing on acquisition and retention, the analyst
brings to bear strategic frameworks and thinking, in-depth data analysis
and an understanding of marketing processes to make specific
recommendations to leadership. The analyst also engages in the execution of
those recommendations to ensure goals are met. The analyst is expected to
bring scientific rigor to marketing, fostering a test-and-learn approach to
marketing investment decisions with the end goal of maximizing the
effectiveness of marketing efforts. Also demonstrates a thirst for
knowledge and natural curiosity that leads to continuous improvement in
analytical techniques used and in marketing processes, as well as to the
continuous development of new hypotheses for winning approaches. Helps make
data-driven marketing decisions while collaborating within a matrix
environment.

Essential Functions
• Supports the design and analysis of direct marketing campaigns
• Works with the Retention team and external stakeholders to identify key
business issues
• Develops analytic frameworks required to analyze marketing strategy
• Under supervision, manages general analytical and/or marketing strategy
projects

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 3 years related experience; Or, Master's degree and 1-3 years
experience
• Broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in statistics,
plus working knowledge of other related fields.
• Must know how to manipulate databases, and manipulating existing reports
and generate new reports
• Experience with MS Excel, and SAS, SPSS or another statistical analysis
package

Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience with SQL
• Experience doing regression analysis using SAS
• Understanding of statistically designed tests and response models
• Excellent organizational and communication skills required, both oral and
written
• Flexible and creative, with a collaborative work style. Ability to
establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Attention to detail and strong follow-through
