   Communications and Outreach Officer, International Migration Institute
   (IMI) (Ref: 105140)

Grade 6: £26,004 – £31,020 per annum

The Communications and Outreach Officer will play a key role in
developing and implementing a strategy for IMI’s research
communications. IMI’s aim is to communicate its research methodologies,
findings, and publications to a wide range of individuals, institutions
and organisations. The communications strategy will include continuous
publication and dissemination of programme reports, research papers,
databases and policy briefs, and media exposure via online and offline
tools. The postholder will also take responsibility for the IMI website
and liaise closely with the Directors and senior researchers, attend the
regular team meetings, and contribute substantially to IMI’s overall
activities as a team member. The post is full-time for two years, to
start as soon as possible.

Applicants should have a higher degree in a communications or
development-related topic (or equivalent professional experience),
substantial experience of developing, updating and maintaining an
evolving international website, significant experience in managing
communications work, preferably in an international development context,
extensive experience of overseeing editing, copy-editing, and
proof-reading and a good understanding of, or proven interest in,
international migration issues.
