The University of Michigan has an immediate opening for a database
analyst/senior programmer with a strong background in complex stratified
survey design and analysis using Stata. Please forward this notice to those

Responsibilities*

Collaborate, support, and advise faculty investigators on study design,
analytic techniques, data definitions and database structure. Perform
analyses, create analysis datasets using Stata and generate reports and
figures in other formats (eg, Word, Excel Powerpoint). Advise faculty on
additional analyses. Document programming processes. Advise other
programmer/analysts on sampling strategies, data quality issues, and
analytic tools. Meet with representatives of external funders regarding
study design and results.

Required Qualifications*

Minimum of Masters degree with minimum of 3 years of programming experience;
extensive Stata experience mandatory. Must have demonstrable expertise with
complex statistical techniques, excellent data management skills,
outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills. Must work well
within a multidisciplinary team and communicate well with faculty
investigators.

Desired Qualifications*

Significant experience with all of the following desired: analysis of
primary survey data; analysis of health care administrative data; analysis
of weighted national datasets.
