Subject: Michigan Population Studies Center postdocs starting 2009

Dear Colleague,



The Population Studies Center at the University of Michigan is searching
to fill several postdoctoral positions sponsored by NIH.  Appointments
will begin on or about September 1, 2009.   Fellows devote most of their
time to independent research.  There are many opportunities for
collaboration with ongoing projects, including the Health and Retirement
Study (HRS) and Panel Study of Income Dynamics (PSID).  Fellows also may
teach on a light-load basis and attend specialized courses to extend
their expertise.  Some background in aging is desirable for the
positions sponsored by NIA, but not required.  Eligibility is restricted
to U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents.  Applicants must have
completed the Ph.D. before fellowship support can begin.  Screening of
applications will start on January 14, 2009 and will continue until the
positions are filled.

Ph.D.'s who would be eligible to apply.  Additional information about
