Dear Savet,

Louisiana State University is in the process of undertaking a
multidisciplinary hiring initiative (MHI) dedicated to building a critical
mass of social scientists focused on poverty research. Preference will be
given to candidates committed to building interdisciplinary research teams
that complement existing strengths among LSU faculty. Successful
candidates must possess a Ph.D. and distinguished records of research
accomplishments and publications, as well as strong reputations in their
disciplines, or the demonstrable capacity to build the same in the case of
emerging scholars.

More information on this opportunity can be found at
http://www.mhi.lsu.edu/. An advertisement that ran in the Chronicle of
Higher Education is available at http://sda-demography.org/LPI-MHI.pdf .
Please disregard the "deadline" on the ad, this is an ongoing process.

I hope this opportunity will be of interest to many on this list and ask
that you feel free to distribute this information widely.

Many thanks.

Tim
