Florida Atlantic University's Center for eLearning is seeking a Research
Coordinator who will:

·         Manage the research of the Center, gather data and respond to
state data requests, search and apply for grants in support of the Center’s
mission, and assist faculty with their research in distance learning.


·         Develop research procedures and processes for the Center for
eLearning.


·         Develop internal policies and procedures for the acceptance of
research proposals from faculty.


·         Assist faculty in the interpretations and implementation of
policies and procedures as they apply to the research at the Center.


·         Assist professors with searching and applying for grants in
support of their distance learning research.


·         Serve as a liaison between the Center for eLearning/Research and
Technology office/departments/ and outside agencies.


·         Coordinate research projects both within the unit and across
colleges.


·         Act as leader in the development and implementation of research
and grant projects within the unit to support for the faculty on their
research and grant writing projects.


·         Write IRB proposals for Center for eLearning research.


·         Participate as a team member in the program evaluation, unit
planning, and other activities.


·         Assist with gathering data and reporting on state requests about
distance learning and program evaluation of the operation at the Center for
eLearning.


·         Assist professors in writing IRB proposals for distance learning
research.


·         Search for and apply for grants to support of Center for
eLearning activities.


·         Gather the data, conduct analysis and write statistical results
for publication.


·         Write surveys to gather information on the services provided by
the center for program evaluation purposes.


·         Use current university data to analyze for patterns and
identification of strengths and weaknesses within the service we are
providing.


·         Respond to data requests from the state about distance learning
at the university.


·         Coordinate the research advisory committee for the Center for
eLearning.

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctorate degree from an accredited institution in instructional
technology, education or other areas of specialization as appropriate; or a
Master’s degree from an accredited institution and five years of research
experience required.

Required skills include:

Strong statistical background and ability to employ advanced data analysis
techniques.

Excellent project management skills.

Solid research background with a record of academic publication.

Willing to work in a highly collaborative environment. Must have people and
communication skills.

Must be very adaptable and alternate between multiple projects.

Experience write and presenting reports.

Familiarity with SAS or other statistical software packages. Experience
designing and deploying surveys.

Familiarity with qualitative data analysis.

Preferred skills include:

Knowledgeable about multimedia and video development for instruction.
Knowledgeable in best practices in instructional technology uses.

Knowledgeable about best practices in instructional design and
implementation of distance learning.

Knowledgeable about program evaluation processes. Good understanding of
data, data mining, and databases.

Excellent understanding of human research and ability to attain and
maintain Citi certification.

Salary:

$60,000 - $68,000

Work Days and Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Eligible for flex scheduling at the discretion of the supervisor.
