Health Services Research and Implementation Science

The Department of Population Health Sciences at Duke University invites
applications and nominations for a regular rank faculty position Health
Services Research and Implementation Science. Population Health Sciences is
a newly formed non-clinical department in the Duke
University School of Medicine that houses approximately 36 faculty members
who conduct research in the fields of epidemiology, health services
research, health measurement and implementation science. Faculty
collaborate closely with clinical departments and institutes
across the School of Medicine and University.

We are seeking a scholar whose research and teaching apply to issues of
health services research and implementation science. The specific focus
within this broad field is open, and applicants with experience in health
services research and/or implementation science are welcome to apply.

Requirements:
• A doctoral degree in health services research, public health, population
health sciences, or related discipline.
• Experience in health services and implementation science.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct scholarly research
• Experience mentoring pre- and post-doctoral students and teaching at the
graduate level.
• Highly self-motivated individual, enthusiastic about scientific discovery
and able to collaborate closely and effectively with other members of a
research team
• Demonstrated ability or potential to secure external funding
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and oral)
