*Latina/o Studies at Cornell invites applications for a two-year
postdoctoral fellowship*
February 13, 2018

With support from the Mellon Foundation, Cornell's Latina/o Studies Program
in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology Studies is
searching for a two-year postdoctoral fellowship to begin in Fall 2018.

We are casting a wide net for applications. Are you or someone you know
working on how environmental changes impact Latina/o communities? Thinking
about the role of Latinas/os in medical research? Studying the role of
Latinas/os in the history of science? These are only a few examples of the
kind of scholarly approach that would enrich our discussions in this
important field at Cornell.
Candidates should have received their PhDs within the past five years. We
seek applications from the full spectrum of S&TS, Latina/o Studies, and
allied scholars whose work addresses social/societal dimensions of science,
technology, environment and/or medicine in the context of U.S. Latina/o
communities and populations; topics can be historical or contemporary. The
course load will be 1:1. The fellowship recipient will be expected to
participate in programming sponsored by the Department of Science and
Technology Studies as well as the Latina/o Studies program. Package
includes competitive salary with full benefits, annual research funds, and
one-time relocation costs.
Interested applicants please submit electronic application materials,
including a letter of application, a curriculum vitae, a writing sample,
teaching statement or sample syllabus, and three letters of recommendation
