NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY’s Department of Sociology invites applications for
a fulltime, tenure-track, Assistant Professor position to begin in the Fall
of 2017.  This search is targeted to scholars who employ quantitative
methods in their work.  We encourage applications from scholars working in
all substantive fields, but applicants working on sociology of gender are
especially encouraged. Responsibilities include developing an excellent
profile in research and teaching, and participating in departmental
service. A Ph.D. in Sociology or other appropriate discipline is required
at the time of appointment. Applicants should submit a cover letter
including a brief statement of research and teaching experience, a
curriculum vitae, sample(s) of recent scholarship, and three letters of
