at the Australian National University (ANU) is seeking a Lecturer in the 
field of Demography. The successful candidate will have a strong track 
record and demonstrated potential for excellence in research and 
publication in demography and will contribute towards the School's 
research agenda, generate external funding and research grants and 
consultancies, and in expanding its teaching programs and undertaking 
graduate supervision. The level of appointment will depend on 
qualifications and experience.

The School of Demography is situated within the Research School of 
Social Sciences and has the largest concentration of demographers in 
Australia actively engaged in a broad range of demographic research 
areas, including family formation and change; mortality, longevity and 
ageing; international and internal migration; as well as the 
interdisciplinary research areas of gender, modelling, forecasting and 
the environment.

This continuing position is based at ANU in Canberra with a salary 
package $94,287 - $107,381 per annum plus 17% superannuation. ANU 
provides attractive benefits and excellent support to maintain a healthy 
work/life balance and offers generous remuneration benefits, including 
four weeks paid vacation per year, assistance with relocation expenses, 
17% employer contribution to superannuation and eligibility to apply for 
6-month research leave every three years.
