*Position Overview Officer, Research Support (Survey Design and
Methodology)*

The Officer position will serve as a senior in-house expert on survey
development and analysis for Pew’s Government Performance (GP) and
Environment Departments and its Philadelphia Research Initiative.
Specifically, the Officer will provide expert advice to project teams with
respect to scope of research questions, sampling frames, questionnaire
design, and preparation of the methods sections of research products and
will serve as principal liaison with the Pew Research Center.  The Officer
will provide statistical and data analysis expertise to project teams as
needed.  The Officer will:  (1) work closely with the Center’s senior
methodologist in reviewing all surveys of The Pew Charitable Trusts; and
(2) help project teams ensure that work submitted to the Center for review
is of high quality.  In addition, the Officer will provide advice to GP
project teams in other areas of research design and methods beyond survey
methodology and participate directly in data collection and analysis
performed by project teams.
