*Posse Bay Area *is hiring a *Director*. The Posse Foundation is a
nationally recognized youth leadership development and college access
program that identifies, recruits, and trains diverse teams of public high
school students and sends them to top colleges and universities. To date, a
total of 6,993 Posse Scholars have been accepted into top-tier institutions
of higher education throughout the country. These young people have
received $932 million in full-tuition leadership scholarships from Posse’s
college and university partners and have been agents of positive change on
their campuses. The primary responsibilities of the Director are to
represent the youth focused mission of the program, manage the financial
operations of the site, maintain strong university partner relationships,
work closely with a local advisory board, and to recruit and manage a team
that ensures the coordination of all program operations. The Director must
be highly motivated, organized, enthusiastic, willing to travel, a great
communicator, hardworking, and a strong role model. The Director reports to

*Celsius and Beyond, an award winning science enrichment program for youth
in San Francisco, is looking for a chemistry undergraduate or graduate to
teach during the summer of 2017*. This is an excellent opportunity to do
science education outreach while earning a competitive wage. Instructors
have the optionto teach consecutive or non-consecutive weeks (from 2 weeks
up to 5 weeks) during the months of June to August. Hours: 9am-4pm,
Monday-Friday, with a long mid-day break. Location: Geary and Masonic
(behind Target) in San Francisco. Free parking and commute cost subsidy
will be provided for those coming from out of town. Pay: Starts at $30hr.

*National Science Foundation (NSF) seeks program director for INCLUDES, the
foundation-wide initiative to broaden participation in STEM*. The NSF
Directorate for Education and Human Resources (EHR), Division of Research
on Learning in Formal and Informal Settings (DRL), at the National Science
Foundation announces a nationwide search for a temporary program director
with expertise at the intersections of research, implementation, and
evaluation in the area of broadening participation in STEM fields to work
with the Inclusion across the Nation of Communities of Learners of
Underrepresented Discoverers in Engineering and Science (NSF INCLUDES)
program. Knowledge of issues facing minority-serving institutions,
including Hispanic-Serving Institutions, Tribal Colleges and Universities,
Historically Black Colleges and Universities, or institutions serving
people with disabilities, is desirable.Formal consideration of applications
will begin on January 9, 2017, and will continue until a selection is made.
