The Center on Poverty and Social Policy at the Columbia University School
of Social Work and the Columbia Population Research Center are recruiting
two postdoctoral research scholars.

One postdoc will work with faculty and staff to conduct new analyses of
national, state, and city trends in poverty using an improved measure of
poverty based on the supplemental poverty measure (SPM) recently developed
by the United States Census Bureau and the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The
other will support a project on the costs, benefits and distributional
consequences of alternative policy packages to halve U.S. child poverty.
