KaBOOM! (kaboom.org) is a DC-based national non-profit with a bold goal: to
ensure all children get the balance of active play they need to become
healthy and successful adults.

We are currently seeking a talented Analyst for our City Initiatives
program called Playful City USA.  Playful City USA is a national
recognition program that works with and honors cities and towns across the
country for developing an agenda on play and increasing the Playability of
their cities.

The Analyst will be responsible for reaching out to city officials to
retain current and recruit new cities, counties, municipalities for our
program through targeted communications, attending conferences, making
presentations, and developing partnerships with like-minded organizations.
In addition, s/he will administer the Playful City USA application process
including: developing materials for distribution, application and selection
process, announcements, award distribution, and analysis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a smart, enthusiastic, creative and
highly organized individual with solid analytical skills. Qualified
candidate will also have:

·         Two or more years of relevant work experience, familiarity with
public health, policy, urban planning, or community development a plus.

·         Comfortable initiating outreach to city officials

·         Excellent oral, written and listening skills

·         Excellent public speaking and interpersonal skills

·         Detail oriented with experience planning and/or coordinating
events

·         Excellent Microsoft Office skills

·         Experience with online training interfaces and databases;
competent with online communities and social media

·         Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse
communities and cultures.
