*Summary:*

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is
the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization.  The principal
object of the NAACP is to ensure the political, educational, social and
economic equality for all.  As part of its mission, the NAACP seeks to
enforce federal, state, and local laws securing civil rights and to educate
persons about their constitutional rights.

The ECJ Program Manager will support provide administrative and managerial
support to the ECJ Program through staff supervision, program coordination,
partnership cultivation, and facilitation of interdepartmental linkages.
The ECJ Program Manager will ensure that the ECJ Program has the necessary
infrastructure to effectively advance the objectives of the Environmental
and Climate Justice Program.  The ECJ Program Manager position is made
possible through the generous support of the Hewlett Foundation and the
Kresge Foundation.

 *Qualifications:*

The ideal candidate for this position will possess many, if not all, of the
following qualifications and competencies:

 ·           A passion for and commitment to advocating for the creation of
progressive policies and programs as well as for the elimination of social
policies and practices that lead to racial and ethnic disparities;
·           Experience with and interest in environmental and climate
justice is essential;
·           Prior staff supervision experience preferred;
·           Ability to facilitate interdepartmental as well as external
partnership coordination is critical;
·           Experience with research and data analysis strongly desired;
·           Exemplary attention to details;
·           Exceptional writing skills;
·           Excellent people skills;
·           Experience with constituent support;
·           A results-focused approach and commitment to going the extra
mile;
·           An extremely organized work style;
·           Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Prezi,
Publisher and other relevant programs;
·           Track record of success managing multiple programs and events;
·           Ability to travel upon request.
Compensation (salary and benefits) is competitive and will be commensurate
with skills and experience.  Salary will be paid on a bi-weekly basis
through our payroll system and is subject to applicable state, local, and
federal taxes.
