_Description_
The Research Associate will be involved in a range of federal and
foundation funded studies that examine practice improvements in the
primary care setting. The person in this position will work with the
principal investigator to develop data collection tools, collect and
manage data collection. Much of the data we collect will be qualitative
(e.g. observation and interviews), and some expertise in this area will
be helpful. However, the Research Associate may also administer and
collect surveys from practice members. In addition to playing a key role
in data collection activities, the Research Associate will be primarily
responsible for: taking notes in study team meetings, coordinating the
logistics of data collection, and carrying out administrative tasks
central to study activities (e.g. scheduling meetings, working with the
Institutional Review Board (IRB).

The Research Associate will also play a key role in the data analysis
process. This will involve participating in analysis meetings and
working with the principal investigator to analyze and code qualitative
data. The Research Associate will also assist the PI in dissemination
activities. This will involve conducting literature searches,
synthesizing literature and drafting sections of manuscripts (authoring
publications), as well as preparing abstracts, posters and presentations
and attending national conferences. The Research Associate will also
have opportunities to assist with grant writing for upcoming funding.

_Required:_
.    Master's degree with major courses in relevant field (Anthropology,
Sociology, Communication or similar field) and 3 years of relevant
experience OR a Bachelor's degree with major courses in field of
research (Anthropology, Sociology, Communication or similar field) (or
RN or allied health professional) plus current ACRP or SoCRA
certification and 3 years of relevant experience OR a Bachelor's degree
with major courses in field of research (Anthropology, Sociology,
Communication or similar field) (or RN or allied health professional)
and 7 years of relevant experience.
.    Prior experience coordinating large multi-faceted research teams.
.    Previous experience in clinical research especially in community
settings.
.    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
.    Excellent organizational and communication skills.
.    Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment.
_Preferred:_
.    Master's degree in Anthropology, Sociology, Communication or
similar field.
.    Previous experience with Endnote, and qualitative analysis software
is a plus, particularly Atlas.

_Salary_
Part-time to Full-time .70FTE - 1.0FTE; Monday-Friday; Salary Range:
$50,000 - $55,000;  Location: Marquam Hill
