Subject: Openings at CBO

Hi - I'm sending this note to all the members of NBER's Aging program to ask
for your help in referring ideas of potential candidates to me for two
positions at the Congressional Budget Office.

We are looking to hire a chief of our long-term analysis unit--to direct work
on long-term issues in the areas of retirement, disability, and health. We are
also looking to hire an analyst in that unit with a focus specifically on
Social Security old-age and disability insurance. The announcements are
attached and more information is available
at www.cbo.gov/about/our-careers. As you can probably guess, the people in
these positions will make critical contributions to understanding of these
issues by members of the Congress.

I'll be at the Summer Institute for the rest of this week and would be happy
to talk to anyone about these positions. Thanks for your help.
