Theprojectconcernssubjectivewell-being(SWB)anddemographicbehaviour,withaparticular
focusonfertilityinadvancedsocieties,acrosstimeandspace.Itsimplementationreliesupon
secondary   data  sources,   both  longitudinaland  comparativein
 nature.  The   project  is interdisciplinary  andtouches
 onseveraldimensions  ofsocialsciences,including  demography,
economics,sociology,genderstudies,psychologyandsocialpolicy.

UnderthesupervisionofthePI,thePost-docresearcherswillberesponsiblefortheday-to-day
runningoftheprojectand contribute toits  successful
 completionthroughdatamanagement
statisticalanalysis,writingupscientificpapers,aswellasdisseminationoffindings.Theposition
doesnotincludeanyteaching.



TheCandidate

•
 Thecandidatesshouldhaveastrongpostgraduatedegree(orbeclosetofinalsubmission)inarelevantareasuchasdemography,
 appliedstatistics,  econometrics  or  economics,psychology,
 quantitativesociology,  appliedstatistics,  computerscience(or
 anyrelated
discipline)–andhavestrongquantitativeskills.Knowledgeofadvancedappliedstatistical
methods  andeconometric  techniques,  includingpaneldataand
 multilevelregressiontechniques  is  necessary.  Expert  knowledgeof
 STATA,   SAS     and  otherprogramming
 languagesisabenefit.Knowledgeoflargescaledataset,suchastheGGS,EU-SILC,GSOEP,BHPS,UnderstandingSociety,SHARE,HRS,HILDA,ESSorPSID,wouldalsobean
advantage.

•  ExcellentEnglishwritingskillsrequired




Thepositions

•  Full-timecontractforone year,renewableforupto3moreyears.

•  Salary: thegross  annualsalary  is  intherange26,000to36,000euros
 according  toindividualexperience

•   The  posts willbebased  atCollegio  Carlo
 Alberto(inMoncalieri,nearTurin,  I).
