University of California, Irvine.  As part of its continuing expansion, the
UCI Sociology Department announces recruitment for one tenure-track position
at the assistant professor level.  We welcome applicants in all sub-fields,
especially those with expertise in population and demography.  We seek
candidates with a strong publication profile and a well-defined research
agenda. 

The review process will begin October 1, 2013, but screening will continue
until the position is filled.  Completed applications containing a cover
letter, curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, and up to three
writing samples should be uploaded electronically at
