PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION ANALYST


The UCLA Center for Health Policy Research (Center) has an outstanding opportunity
for a Public Administration Analyst (PAA) to assist with the administrative
functions of the California Health Interview Survey (CHIS), the largest state
telephone health survey in the country. The Center is one of the nation's leading
health policy research centers and the premier source of health policy information
for California. Established in 1994, the Center is based in the School of Public
Health and affiliated with the School of Public Affairs.


Responsibilities:
Coordinate and assist with multiple drafts of CHIS questionnaires with information
provided from numerous sources.
Provide administrative support for a variety of survey activities related to
questionnaire development, implementation, analysis, and dissemination of data from
CHIS.
Coordinate meetings and direct communication with multiple committees and
sub-committees in order to track CHIS questionnaire development activities.
Draft interim and final project reports including results, tables, narratives,
charts, descriptions of methodologies, etc.
Qualifications:
Graduate degree in Health Services, Public Health, Public Policy or a related field
with knowledge of, and experience working with, population surveys, preferred.
Ability to understand SAS (Statistical Analysis System) database programming which
includes data access, data retrieval, data management, data analysis, and data
presentation.
Excellent verbal, written and problem solving skills.
Experience in project management and development.
Understanding of, and experience complying with, legal standards of confidentiality
relating to conducting research.
Other Details:
Full-time, contract position. Salary: $3,463 - $6,230 monthly. Salary commensurate
