Subject: Census Bureau Recruitment at the Population Association of America
      Annual Meetings

The U.S. Census Bureau has full-time opportunities in the domestic and
international programs for
qualified U.S. citizens in the areas of geography, demography, sociology,
economics, and related social
sciences.  We are looking for candidates at all levels of education (BA, MA,
PhD).  Training in
demographic analysis, survey research, geographic information systems, and/or
quantitative data analysis
of large datasets is preferred.  These openings offer applicants the
opportunity to work on one or more
of the following topics: population distribution; population estimates and
projections; housing; income;
disability; health insurance coverage; education; and migration.

Representatives will be recruiting during the Population Association of America
(PAA) annual meeting in
Washington D.C.  We will conduct 30 minute informational recruiting interviews
during the conference
(March 31-April 1).  Please email David Zaslow (David.C.Zaslow at census.gov) to
sign up prior to the
conference or visit the Census Bureau's exhibition booth during the meeting.  A
short presentation about
working at the Census Bureau will be held Thursday afternoon from 1:00-3:00.
 Please stop by our booth
for additional details.

For information on opportunities, job descriptions, and the application
process, please refer to our
Human Resources Division by selecting "Jobs at Census" at our website

The Department of Commerce and the U.S. Census Bureau are Equal Opportunity
