Please join us tomorrow at our lunch session hosting Sharon Green "The effects of migration and remittances on women’s empowerment and social status in Kerala, India" - Wednesday April 13 at 12:00noon PDT

Sharon Green is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Demography at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research uses large-scale datasets and a variety of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods to explore how migration and related economic processes shape health disparities and social inequalities in the US and around the globe.

Her work has been published in leading journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, American Journal of Public Health, and Social Science and Medicine – Population Health. Her research and training have been supported by the National Institute on Aging, the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health & Human Development, and the National Institute of General Medical Sciences.

She received her PhD in Sociomedical Sciences and Sociology from Columbia University, her MPH in Sociomedical Sciences and Epidemiology from Columbia University, and her BA in Public Health Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
