Dear Demography Community,
Please see the announcement below for a special brainstorming session
regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

DESCRIPTION: The Berkeley Population Center (BPC), Center on the Economics
and Demography of Aging (CEDA) and the School of Public Health invite you
to a 1-hour open brainstorming session on research ideas related to the
covid-19 pandemic. E.g., topics could include population-level
determinants, prevention, and mitigation of pandemic spread; modeling and
estimation of health, social, and economic implications, etc. There will
not be a formal presentation, but rather this will be an open brainstorming
discussion moderated by Will Dow and Josh Goldstein. If you know in
advance that you have a specific research area that you would like to
discuss during the session, please contact Will Dow at wdow at berkeley.edu.
Also contact him or Leora Lawton llawton at berkeley.edu if you have an idea
for a pilot project; NIH and NSF are encouraging covid-19 related
proposals, and BPC will be issuing a small pilot grant announcement shortly
for topics related to the covid-19 pandemic.

Thank you everyone!
