     Fogarty is seeking 2 individuals to provide scientific leadership and
     manage extramural global health grant portfolios in the <a href="https://www.fic.nih.gov/About/Staff/Pages/Training-Research.aspx" target="_blank">Division of International Training and Research</a>. One
     position will serve as Program Director of the <a href="https://www.fic.nih.gov/Programs/Pages/mepi-junior-faculty.aspx" target="_blank">Medical Education Partnership Initiative (MEPI) Junior
     Faculty Research Training program,</a> the <a href="https://www.fic.nih.gov/Programs/Pages/health-professional-education-partnership-initiative-hepi.aspx" target="_blank">Health-Professional Education Partnership Initiative
     (HEPI)</a> and the <a href="https://www.fic.nih.gov/Programs/Pages/african-association-health-professions.aspx" target="_blank">African Association for Health Professions Education and
     Research</a>, which promote health professional education and faculty
     career development in Africa; and the <a href="https://www.fic.nih.gov/Programs/Pages/scholars-fellows-global-health.aspx" target="_blank">Global Fellows and Scholars Program</a>. For this
     position, a health professional or experience in health professional
     education (physicians, nurses or other health professions) is preferred,
     but not required. The second position will serve as Program Director to
     develop and manage a diverse portfolio that includes programs in
     noncommunicable diseases.<br>

     Qualified candidates are expected to be able to work across a wide
     spectrum of global health research areas. Besides having the flexibility
     and intellectual curiosity to work across discipline boundaries, qualified
     individuals should also have the ability to collaborate widely, both
     within NIH and outside the agency, and to work effectively as both a team
     member and team leader. Fogarty is particularly interested in individuals
     with research or research training experience in low- or middle-income
     countries (LMICs) and with strong interests in the development of research
     career pathways for scientists from LMICs.<br>

     Asia and the Pacific during times that the Program Officer covering the
     region is out of the office on leave or on travel. Candidates should also
     have experience conducting biomedical research and/or administering

Fogarty is seeking outstanding applicants to serve as the Director of the <a href="https://www.fic.nih.gov/About/Staff/Pages/International-Relations.aspx" target="_blank">Division of International Relations</a>. The Director is
responsible for the coordination of bilateral and multilateral programs in
order to strengthen external representation and ensure cohesiveness of Fogarty and
NIH activities; for developing and implementing international scientific and
public health activities for the benefit of the global health research
community; for analyzing NIH's international activities and impact on global
health research; for developing parallel partnerships and complementary funding
programs between Fogarty/NIH and funders of biomedical research from other
countries; and for supervising a staff of program officers, program specialists
and support employees in the daily administration of the Division's activities.<br>

The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree in the health or pertinent
sciences; international experience in biomedical research or biomedical
research capacity building, ideally in low- or middle-income countries; experience
in international health research policy; and supervisory experience.<br>
