<div><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Verdana","sans-serif"">A new Pathways announcement has been posted to capture new Fall and Spring applicants. Please be aware of the following information as you consider your intern needs:<br>
<br>1) The Internship job announcement will be open August 25, 2014 through August 24, 2015. It is accessible through USAJOBS.gov or through the Jobs@census website (<a href="http://www.census.gov/hrd/www/jobs/stu_temp.html" target="_blank">http://www.census.gov/hrd/www/jobs/stu_temp.html</a>), announcement number WA1188416-JN.<br>
<br>2) Interested applicants must apply during the open period and must meet the definition of student – an individual who has been accepted for enrollment or who is enrolled and seeking a degree in a qualifying education institution on a full- or half-time basis. <br>
<br>3) Candidates accepted into Pathways Internship positions are eligible for noncompetitive conversion to a career or career-conditional appointment once all program requirements are met (i.e. completion of degree requirements and 640 hours career-related work). <br>
<br>4) Hiring managers will have the ability via the Electronic Hiring System (EHS) to view applications, generate ranked listings of candidates based on the criteria required for the assignment (i.e. type of degree, major, coursework, and availability), and make selections beginning August 19, 2014. Veterans preference applies to the intern selection process. <br>
