<p class="MsoNormal" style><span class="">The Harvard Opinion Research Program is seeking a Research
Assistant.</span><br>

<span class="">The Research Assistant would perform and coordinate a wide
range of research procedures and projects related to opinion research surveys
and their analysis. Works as part of a team in compiling and analyzing
results, although tasks are frequently performed independently and
unsupervised.</span><br>

<p class="MsoNormal" style><span class="">The Program’s focus is on measuring and understanding public opinion
in the United States and in other countries. Core research activities include
designing and conducting original opinion surveys, as well as reviewing and
analyzing survey data collected by other organizations. This work has led to
more than 200 publications in the academic literature. Approximately a dozen
surveys are conducted each year leading to reports, published papers, and
meeting presentations.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style><span class=""> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style><span class="">College degree or equivalent experience, preferably in the field of
specific research study. Two or more years related work experience
(relevant course work may count towards experience). Demonstrated knowledge of
research populations and/or techniques is required. Knowledge of standard
research methods and statistical techniques required. Master’s degree in political
science, social science or public policy preferred.</span></p>
