<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">We invite
applications to work on the British part of the research
project <b>Partner Relationships, Residential Relocations
and Housing in the Life Course</b>. The three-year project
will investigate the connections between partner
relationships, residential relocations and housing in the
Netherlands, the UK and Germany, using large survey data and
applying methods of longitudinal data analysis. The project
is funded by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific
Research NWO, the UK’s Economic and Social Research Council
and the German Research Foundation DFG under the ORA Plus
scheme. Principal investigators are Professor Clara Mulder
from the University of Groningen, Professor Michael Wagner
from the University of Cologne, and Dr Hill Kulu from the
University of Liverpool. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:#1F497D">This is an
excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to work
in an international team of researchers on a highly
policy-relevant topic. You will work in close collaboration
with Dr Hill Kulu. You will investigate the interactions
between partner relationships and residential relocations in
the UK, will contribute to comparative studies of the three
European countries and will write up research results for
publication in leading international social science
journals. You will also help to organise a workshop and will
be responsible for the design and update of the project
webpage. You should have a PhD in a social science
discipline (including statistics), experience in handling
longitudinal data and conducting event history analysis.
Good communication and management skills are essential. The
post is available from 1 July 2014 until 30 June 2017. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
