<pre>funded R01 focused on the mental health and risk behaviors of youths</pre><pre>with and without a stigmatized chronic illness, HIV. The Research</pre><pre>Project Director will be responsible for the following:</pre>
<pre> </pre><pre>·Oversee all aspects of the research study, collaborate with</pre><pre>institutions involved in the study, and taking a direct role in the</pre><pre>implementation of an organizational infrastructure for the study.</pre>
<pre> </pre><pre>·Oversee all aspects of data management,working closely with the PI,</pre><pre>co-investigations, data manger and statisticians to ensure quality</pre><pre>assurance and aid in processing of study data.</pre>
<pre> </pre><pre>·Supervise, train and support study related personnel, creating and</pre><pre>monitoring personnel effort and assignments.</pre><pre> </pre><pre>·Manage the non-personnel and petty cash financial aspects of the study,</pre>
<pre>including subject payments and purchase of materials needed to conduct</pre><pre>the study.</pre><pre> </pre><pre>·Ensure compliance with all regulatory and administrative requirements</pre><pre>imposed by funders and IRBs.</pre>
<pre> </pre><pre>·Oversee the monthly/quarterly/annual project deliverables as required.</pre><pre> </pre><pre>·Communicate issues and solutions to the Principal Investigator in a</pre><pre>timely manner.</pre><pre> </pre>
<pre>·Revise and maintain research operating procedures throughout the course</pre><pre>of the study.</pre><pre> </pre><pre>·Preparation for presentations, drafts for publications, and reference</pre><pre>building with opportunities for publications under the supervision of</pre>
<pre>the PI.</pre><pre> </pre><pre>·Other duties include some administrative support for the Principal</pre><pre>Investigator including coordinating professional meetings or events,</pre><pre>drafting/proofing documents, composing correspondence with other</pre>
<pre>investigators and collaborators, assistance with grant and manuscript</pre><pre>writing, etc.</pre><pre> </pre><pre>*EDUCATION: *Masters degree or doctorate with at least 3-5 years of</pre><pre>relevant experience in research, conducting and/or coordinating research</pre>
<pre>studies.</pre><pre> </pre><pre> </pre><pre><span style> </span>TRAINING</pre><pre> </pre><pre>*& EXPERIENCE:*Desired requirements include:</pre><pre> </pre><pre>·Ability to work independently with appropriate guidance and support</pre>
<pre>from the Principal Investigator.</pre><pre> </pre><pre>·Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to assume an</pre><pre>appropriate leadership role while acknowledging and encouraging the</pre><pre>interest and input of the collaborating parties.</pre>
<pre> </pre><pre>·Current knowledge of Good Clinical Practice guidelines including:</pre><pre>protection of human subjects, definitions and reporting requirements for</pre><pre>adverse events, elements of informed consent, Federal Codes, Regulations</pre>
<pre>and Guidelines relevant to the performance and conduct of clinical research.</pre><pre> </pre><pre>·Excellent computer skills in a Windows environment, including Microsoft</pre><pre>Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access and SPSS and Adobe Acrobat</pre>
<pre> </pre><pre>·Excellent writing, editing and proofing skills.</pre><pre> </pre><pre>·Excellent interpersonal and creative problem solving skills.</pre><pre> </pre><pre>·Willingness and ability to travel may be required.</pre>
<pre> </pre><pre>·The following are also essential to this position: be able to take</pre><pre>initiative, problem-solve, multi-task under a high-paced environment,</pre><pre>conduct structured interviews regarding psychosocial and psychosexual</pre>
<pre>topics with adults and adolescents, recruitment and tracking of</pre><pre>participants.</pre><pre> </pre><pre>·Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus, but not critical.**</pre><pre> </pre><pre> </pre><pre><span style> </span>SPECIAL</pre>
<pre> </pre><pre>*REQUIREMENTS:*This position involves some contact youth < 18 years; the</pre><pre>successful candidate will be screened through the New York State Central</pre><pre>Child Abuse Register prior to assuming any duties that will involve</pre>
