APCO Insight(r), the opinion research arm of the global communications firm<br>
APCO Worldwide, is seeking a Qualitative/Quantitative Research Manager to<br>
join its team in Washington, DC.<br>
<br>
<br>
The Research Manager will be responsible for developing and executing<br>
qualitative and quantitative research assignments on behalf of the<br>
organization and clients. This position is hands-on and core competencies<br>
include research design, development of survey and focus group protocols,<br>
ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data collected, and data analysis and<br>
reporting.<br>

A successful candidate will have the ability to multi-task, strong time<br>
management and organizational skills, excellent written and verbal<br>
communication skills, a professional demeanor, be self-motivated, and<br>
excellent computer skills. Three to Four years of relevant research<br>
experience and a bachelor's degree are also required. A master's degree<br>
and/or graduate work in survey research is strongly preferred.<br>
<br>
Ideal candidates will have prior relevant research or on-the-job experience<br>
in a mixture of the following:<br>
<br>
* Managing domestic and/or international qualitative research projects<br>
(focus groups and in-depth interviews).<br>
* Moderation of conduct of focus group and/or in-depth interviews.<br>
* Familiarity with survey methods and research.<br>
* Management of large-scale, professionally conducted domestic and/or<br>
international surveys (phone, online, mail, and telephone administration<br>
methods).<br>
* Proven facility with descriptive and inferential statistical methods<br>
(multivariate analyses preferred but not required).<br>
* Thorough knowledge of SPSS, STATA and/or SAS.<br>
* Ability to distill large amounts of data to tell a story and display<br>
data in easy-to-understand ways in tables and charts.<br>
* Business development including familiarity with the business<br>
development process for syndicated research.<br>
