The Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology at the<br>
University of Idaho (UI) invites applications for the Administrative<br>
Director of its Social Science Research Unit (SSRU). The SSRU provides<br>
survey design, implementation, data analysis, and reporting to clients<br>
within the University of Idaho and external to the University.<br>

Position Responsibilities:<br>
<br>
<br>
The Administrative Director will be responsible for the overall performance<br>
of the Social Science Research Unit. Duties will include supervision of<br>
unit staff, implement and monitor budgets and ensure client satisfaction;<br>
development, writing and administering grant and contract proposals;<br>
collaboration with University researchers and external clients on project<br>
development, and ensuring high quality and timely project completion by the<br>
unit. Additional duties include development of general study methodology by<br>
discussing research objectives with clients; presentation and explanation of<br>
results to clients; completion of special assignments. The successful<br>
candidate must apply detailed survey methodology knowledge.<br>

Required Qualifications:<br>
<br>
1. M.S. degree in social or behavioral<br>
sciences, economics, business, public or business administration, education<br>
or related field<br>
<br>
2. 2 years of experience directing survey<br>
research projects and/or managing survey research operations<br>
<br>
3. At least two years of experience with<br>
project management, including training and staff supervision and<br>
deliverables timeline management<br>
<br>
4. Experience with financial/budgeting<br>
processes and management,<br>
<br>
5. Experience developing, writing and<br>
administering grant proposals<br>
<br>
6. Excellent writing and interpersonal skills<br>
<br>
7. Problem solving skills<br>
<br>
<br>
<br>
Desired Qualifications:<br>
<br>
* Ph.D. in social or behavioral sciences,<br>
economics, public or business administration, education or related field.<br>
<br>
* Experience working in collaborative teams<br>
with individuals of diverse perspectives, backgrounds and interests<br>
<br>
* Experience working constructively with<br>
others<br>
<br>
