all!

There are two positions posted on
jobopportunities.uchicago.edu.

The first is a research archivist. This
would be a great position for someone who loves working with an enormous amount
of administrative data. The second is a senior quantiative analyst, which would
be ideal for someone who wants to collaborate on all phases of the survey cycle,
from pilot testing to publications. I work with both teams, so feel free to
contact me with questions, although all CVs/cover letters must be submitted via
the uchicago website.

Thanks!
Rachel

1. Research

The Research Archivist works with
staff at the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) on behalf of the University of Chicago
Consortium on Chicago School Research (CCSR) and other research organizations
with similar CPS data contracts to coordinate data sharing and research
collaboration. The Research Archivist fills data requests as per the research
organizations' contracts with CPS, collaborates with researchers and district
staff to conduct research on data quality and indicator development, facilitates
information sharing on data use and variable construction to improve research
consistency among the research organizations and the district, and ensures
compliance of the research organizations with CPS data use policies. The
Research Archivist serves as a point of contact liaison between CPS and the
research organizations to ensure coordinated and effective communication. The
Research Archivist will spend three days a week at the Chicago Public Schools
(CPS) and two days a week at the University of Chicago's Hyde Park campus. A
CCSR Director will supervise the Research Archivist and a CPS staff member will
serve as the point of contact for the work being done at CPS. The Research
Archivist will work closely with CPS staff and the organizations' researchers to
build a common understanding and greater coherence in the use of CPS data.
