Clayman Institute for Gender Research at Stanford University seeks to hire a research
associate.  </font></p><p><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Job
Description and Requirements:</font></p><p><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ph.D.
in sociology or related field required.  The
ideal candidate will have a strong background in the following areas – gender,
women’s leadership, organizational behavior, work and family.  The candidate should have teaching experience
and be interested in helping design courses on these topics – including
creating reading lists and coming up with innovative course projects.  The candidate should also have a strong
background in research design and quantitative and qualitative research
methods.  The candidate should have the
ability to design and implement a longitudinal study using survey and interview
methods.  As part of the application process, please submit a CV, and sample syllabi and/or course materials used for
teaching.  If available, submit a
statement of teaching philosophy and experience, and evidence of teaching
