The Division of Community Health Sciences (CHS) in the UIC School of Public
Health invites applications for tenure-track Assistant Professor positions. <br>
Responsibilities include teaching graduate level courses, advising master’s
and doctoral students, developing an externally funded research agenda, and
contributing to the service mission of the division and the school. <br>

Anticipated starting date is Fall 2013. Salary is commensurate with

Minimum Qualifications: <br>
· A doctoral degree earned prior to the hiring date in community or
population health (in one or more areas across the life course),
social/behavioral sciences, health promotion, public health or a closely
related field. <br>

· Evidence of scholarly productivity and potential. <br>
<br>
· Strong potential for graduate level teaching and mentoring. <br>
Preferred Qualifications: <br>
· A defined research focus consistent with the CHS mission. <br>
<br>
· Evidence of potential for obtaining independent external research funding. <br>
<br>
· Enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring graduate students. <br>
<br>
· Evidence of successful graduate-level teaching. <br>
<br>
· An MPH degree from a CEPH-accredited program or <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceType
w:st="on">School</st1:PlaceType> of <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Public Health</st1:PlaceName></st1:place>

<br>
· Willingness to contribute to the growth and success of CHS through service
activities. <br>
