*Mills College* is hiring instructors to teach the following courses this
fall:

   - Urban Sociology, Tuesdays & Thursdays 1:00-2:15
   - Sociological Theory, Tuesdays 4:00-6:30pm
   - Sociology of Immigration, Thursdays 6:45-9:15

For instructors with a PhD the compensation is approximately $6500, and
$6000 for ABD. All instructors will be provided an office in a beautiful,
historic building on campus.



Mills College <http://www.mills.edu> is an exceptionally diverse selective
liberal arts college in Oakland, California. Recently designated as a
"Hispanic Serving Institution," 28% of our students identify as Latinx, 10%
are African American, and another 10% are Asian/Pacific Islander. About 32%
of Mills students are first generation to college and about half identify
as LGBTQ+. Our students are high-achieving and particularly interested in
social activism and social change.



We are looking for fantastic instructors who truly enjoy teaching and
mentoring students. Sociology PhD or ABD preferred, but other fields will
