Two Tenure Track Positions in the Department of Sociology at the University
of Maryland-College Park



The Department of Sociology invites applications for two tenure-track
Assistant Professor positions, pending budgetary approval. One hire will be
for someone who does research in race/gender, while addressing significant
scholarly directions in the discipline, enhancing our current fields of
strength (demography, social inequality, and social psychology), and
further building intellectual diversity  (position #104683). Candidates
will be expected to contribute to our efforts to offer outstanding
quantitative and qualitative methodological training in our undergraduate
and graduate programs. We also value work with a promising ability to
generate external funding. The second hire is an open search (position
#104695).  We seek scholars with innovative research programs and a
commitment to outstanding teaching.



The University of Maryland is located in Prince George’s County, near
Washington, DC, accessible through the College Park/UM metro stop.  For

Open Rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) in Health Sciences

The University of Missouri, School of Health Professions, Department of
Health Sciences, seeks applicants for two full-time tenure/tenure-track
faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor
or Full Professor. Specialty areas desired include but are not limited to
Public Health (Community Health and Education, Health Policy, Epidemiology,
Environmental Health, etc.), Social Determinants of Health, and Global
Health. The Department’s strengths include the following areas: HIV/Aids,
Vulnerable Populations and Health Disparities, Rural Health, and Health
across the Life-course. PhD or DrPH in Health Sciences related profession
or closely related field required. Candidates will be evaluated on their
background in the health sciences, ability to teach in an academic setting
and scholarly productivity, including the potential for grant success. The
position includes teaching health sciences core courses including
introductory public health courses, research and service to fit
School/Department needs.
