*Policy and Technical Assistance Specialist*



The Policy & Technical Assistance (TA) Specialist will play an important
role in implementing the program’s research capacity building activities
and disseminating research results to appropriate audiences. The CHC seeks
an individual with exceptional organizational and analytic skills, a strong
network within the policymaker, practitioner, and advocacy communities, and
a solid scientific background in research design and methods. The
individual will work both collaboratively with a team as well as
independently, and play a substantive role in representing the program to
potential grantees, and others. Key elements of the position include:
providing in-depth research design consultation to grantees, overseeing the
implementation of activities to facilitate partnerships between researchers
and non-academic entities, monitoring the policy and programmatic landscape
for opportunities to conduct natural experiments, conducting systematic
literature reviews, assisting in drafting Calls for Proposals, and
optimizing the communications strategies for disseminating research
results. Additionally, the TA Specialist will manage the external grant
review process, identifying appropriate experts in the field to review
research proposals. He or she will also assist the Deputy Director with
other programmatic activities as appropriate.
