*Full-time Outreach and Education Position, Institute for Learning & Brain
Sciences, University of Washington*. The Institute for Learning and Brain
Sciences (I-LABS) is an interdisciplinary research organization dedicated
to the study of early learning and brain development in childhood.  The
Institute has an opportunity for a Public Information Specialist
responsible for 'translating' the leading-edge science of I-LABS into
usable messages that will help constituents to promote early learning and
brain development in children.  The primary work is development of
professional development resources on early childhood development for the
early learning community. In addition, incumbent may participate in special
topic interactive webinars, and assist in the development of print (such as
press releases or news articles) and electronic media (such as online
courses), written articles, or interviews to communicate breaking
scientific information to a broad audience.  Finally, this position may
work in partnership with groups in the community to provide original
materials and feedback on third party materials concerning early learning
and the brain. Required: Ph.D. in developmental and/or neuroscience-related
discipline, and 2-3 years’ experience speaking to/writing for a variety of
audiences to communicate scientific material. In addition, expertise in the
social and emotional development of children, cognitive development, or in
developmental neuroscience highly desired. The position is listed on

*Salish Kootenai College* seeks to hire a full-time *STEM Academy Program
Coordinator* to assist with the development and operation of its new STEM
Academy for high school students. The Academy works extensively with Native
high school students to prepare them to enter STEM biomedical/biobehavioral
college degrees and professions. The program coordinator will work closely
with high school administrators, teachers, and students as well as SKC
faculty and STEM professionals. She/he will be responsible for recruiting
students, monitoring their progress in STEM dual enrollment courses at SKC,
assisting them in developing and conducting research projects with SKC
faculty and STEM professionals, working with other academy personnel, and
interfacing with schools and parents whose students are enrolled in the
academy. *Qualifications*: A minimum of a Master’s degree in a STEM
discipline is required with at least two years of experience working with
high school age students, at least two years of STEM research-related work,
and at least two years of experience in program coordination. Additional
desirable qualifications include significant experience working with high
schools in reservation settings, two years of working in college settings,

*Development Manager, Center for Youth Wellness*, San Francisco. The Center
for Youth Wellness (CYW) is part of a national effort to revolutionize
pediatric medicine and transform the way society responds to kids exposed
to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and toxic stress. The Development
Manager (DM) is responsible for managing institutional grant narrative and
proposal writing processes; identifying, researching and soliciting new
foundations, corporations and government agencies; maintaining the
institutional activity calendar and deadlines; implementing quality usage
of CYW’s development database; coordinating development operational
projects, such as development mail and donor acknowledgments programs
