*Colorado State University  *The Department of Sociology invites
applications for an entry-level tenure-track Assistant Professor
(nine-month position) to begin August 16, 2017.  Completion of Ph.D. in
Sociology, Criminology or related social science discipline is required by
time of appointment. The Department seeks a candidate with a demonstrated
ability to teach basic, intermediate and advanced quantitative methods and
research methods at the undergraduate and graduate levels and contribute
substantively to one or more of our four areas of department foci, namely:
(1) Environment and Natural Resources, (2) Food, Agriculture, and
Development, (3) Crime, Law, and Deviance, (4) and Social Inequality,
Social Justice, and Governance. The successful candidate will be able to
teach basic undergraduate and graduate courses in social statistics and
research methods and have the expertise to teach and support users with a
selection of advanced quantitative applications such as categorical and
limited response variables, multilevel modeling, structural equations,
social network analysis, spatial methods, and/or time series analysis.
Faculty members are expected to participate in instruction, to develop a
program of research and publication, to be engaged in the graduate program,
and to be active in service. Applications will be accepted until the
position is filled; however, candidates should submit complete applications

the entire Sociology Department Faculty and other voting members of the
Sociology Department Council.
