*The Institute for Innovative Assessment at UW-Madison. Position: *science
performance task writer.  Required: MA in Science Education or MS in field
of science, plus min. The task writer will work on a grant-sponsored
project that is developing innovative science assessments and materials for
middle school students called "Dynamic Interactive Formative Assessment
Tasks and End-of-Unit Tests for Measuring Challenging Concepts and Skills
of Diverse Middle School Students". The individual will create formative
assessment tasks and associated materials for the project as well as
participate in research activities. For additional information on the

org/about/. The staff for this project work remotely and telecommuting is
allowed.

*Degree and area of specialization:*

Master's degree in Science Education or a related field. Exceptional
candidates with a Bachelor's degree and substantial and relevant work
experience will be considered. Evidence of training and/or coursework in
science education, multicultural education, or instructional coaching.


The professional development specialist will work on a grant-sponsored
project that is developing innovative science assessments and materials for
middle school students called "Dynamic Interactive Formative Assessment
Tasks and End-of-Unit Tests for Measuring Challenging Concepts and Skills
of Diverse Middle School Students". The specialist will research and
develop professional development materials and activities related to the
