JRSA, a national non-profit organization located in downtown Washington,
DC, has an immediate opening for a Project Manager to direct its project
Developing a National Resource Center for Victim-Related Research and
Evaluation. The goal of the project is to provide training and technical
assistance (TTA) that enhances victim service providers’ capacity to
support and integrate victim-related research and evaluation activities to
improve victim services. Activities and resources will be tailored to
state, tribal, and local service providers and programs, and will include
the dissemination of up-to-date information, best practices, strategies,
policies, research, and other resources that can be applied to better serve
crime victims.

The Project Manager will be responsible for carrying out the day to day
activities of the project, and coordinating and overseeing the work of a
Research Analyst and a Research Assistant. Responsibilities include:

developing training and technical assistance materials on victim-related
research and evaluation, including written materials, online courses, and
webinars; working with states to identify and implement research studies
related to victims and victim services; conducting in-person training;
overseeing research-practitioner partnership grants; writing reports
summarizing project activities; and coordinating activities with partners,
granting agencies, and other organizations and individuals providing TTA.

The Project Manager position requires a Ph.D. in criminal justice or a
closely related field and a minimum of 5 years of (post-degree) full-time
work experience conducting research and/or evaluation in an applied
criminal justice setting. The applicant should have experience with
victimization or victim-related research, and should have extensive
knowledge of the justice system in general and victims’ issues in
particular. Familiarity with federal, state, local and tribal governments
is preferred. Excellent analytical, oral and written skills are required.
The applicant will be expected to contribute to JRSA’s other projects and
to help write grant proposals for additional funding beyond the current
project.

This is a full-time, grant-funded position (two years minimum). The salary
range for this position is $84,000-$110,000, depending on education and
experience. JRSA offers a generous benefits package including health, life
and disability insurance; a 403(b) annuity retirement plan with matching
employer contribution; pre-tax flexible spending health and dependent care
accounts; paid leave and holidays; and commuter benefits, including one day
per week telework option. The Project Manager will report to JRSA’s
Research Director.
