*Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Health Services Research*





The VA Center for Healthcare Organization and Implementation Research
(CHOIR), a Health Services Research and Development Center of Innovation,
seeks candidates for 2-year postdoctoral fellowships in health services
research to begin Fall, 2016.  Recent doctorates in relevant disciplines
(health services/policy, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, sociology,
psychology, anthropology, management, epidemiology, health economics,
statistics) are encouraged to apply.  CHOIR is a multi-disciplinary
research center affiliated with the Boston University School of Public
Health, the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and Harvard Medical
School.  Our two campuses are located at the Boston and Bedford VA Medical
Centers, both in Massachusetts.



Fellowships are funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of
Academic Affiliations (OAA) and administered in collaboration with the
Health Services Research & Development (HSR&D) service.  Stipend for PhD
fellows is $46,176 in year 1 and $48,672 in year 2.  Stipend for nurse PhD
fellows is $56,659 in year 1 and $60,029 in year 2.  Other health
professional fellow salaries are commensurate with PGY level. * Applicants
must be U.S. citizens*.

training, experience, career goals, reasons for seeking fellowship, and
specific health services research interests to Karen Quigley, PhD (
karen.quigley at va.gov) and James Burgess, PhD (james.burgess at va.gov) for PhD
and nurse fellows, or to Ann Borzecki, MD (ann.borzecki at va.gov) and Steven
Simon, MD, (steven.simon2 at va.gov) for MD or other health professional
