The School of Public Health at the University of North Texas Health Science
Center (UNTHSC) at Fort Worth invites applications for a full-time
post-doctoral research fellow (1-year appointment) in the areas of health
behavior change, mobile/e-health interventions, and underserved populations.

The fellow will work primarily on Dr. Scott Walters' project, m.chat, a
technology assisted health coaching intervention for permanent supportive
housing residents in Ft. Worth. The project is funded by a Medicaid 1115
Waiver to the State of Texas. The project is unique because of its focus on
a vulnerable population with complex health conditions, the use
of technology as a clinician extender, and the focus on multiple
comorbidities. The fellow will be primarily responsible for generating
manuscripts using data collected from this project over the past two years,
including from semi-annual psychosocial interviews, monthly meetings with a
health coach, and daily reports of health behaviors collected on
a smartphone. The fellow will also help manage some day-to-day project
tasks, such as leading team meetings, monitoring progress, and overseeing
graduate student projects. These experiences will help the fellow to become
an independent academic researcher in the areas of e-health and health
disparities.

The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:
* Doctoral degree in the behavioral sciences, public health, psychology, or
other relevant area.
* Excellent writing skills required.
* Experience with diverse populations, e-health interventions, and advanced
quantitative methods are
   preferred but not required.
