The Center for Health and Community (CHC) is hiring for the position of
Research Program Manager for a new Health Advocates (HA) biomarkers study
at San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH). The individual will coordinate
all research activities at SFGH for this study, which is based out of the
pediatrics primary and urgent care clinics on the 6th floor of the main
hospital. Research activities include recruiting patients who have been
served by the SFGH HA program, which uses using social and environmental
screening and related interventions to improve child health outcomes. The
PM and research assistants will recruit and interview patients, obtain
biomarker samples, and follow up with patients at six months. The PM will
be responsible for: maintaining strong relationships with SFGH HA and
Pediatrics Department collaborators; training and supervising research
assistants; maintaining Committee on Human Subjects Research (CHR)
compliance; purchasing study equipment; managing all research program
operations; participating in data cleaning and analysis; and working with
the research team to write up study results for publication and
