Subject: Please Share: Job Opening - Executive Director - California Policy Lab

Greetings,

The California Policy Lab (CPL) at the UC Berkeley, a new joint venture with UCLA, just announced that they are hiring for a new Executive Director<http://capolicylab.berkeley.edu/CPL-Job-Announcement.pdf>.

"The goal of CPL is to advance evidence-based policy-making throughout California via the curation and analysis of administrative data from state, county, and local government operations. CPL is a collaboration between teams at UC Berkeley and UCLA that will bring together top government officials and university researchers in a long-term effort to improve policy making in California through research collaborations and the development of a new type of data infrastructure.

A central activity of the CPL will be the creation of an administrative data warehouse that will provide researchers and agency staff with secure access to linked data from a range of California public agencies. The CPL will also organize convenings of researchers and policymakers, and will organize and carry out collaborative research projects, involving UC faculty and students as well as public agencies, aimed at improving policy in California."
You are my connections I best feel would know the potential applicant pool for a job like this. Please share this job description if anyone comes to mind.

All the best,
Ben
