*Applied Data Scientist*

The Applied Data Science (ADS) Team is the advisory arm of Civis, working
closely with companies, nonprofits, and campaigns to help solve their
toughest challenges with data science. They are critical components of the
project team and are expected to take leadership in understanding how to
design and implement data science solutions for each client’s unique
situation. Applied Data Scientists collaborate with clients, Civis’ R&D and
Technology teams, and managers to leverage cutting-edge statistical
techniques, always making sure insights are clear, actionable, and timely.
ADS structure hard problems, analyze large data sets, build predictive
models, collaborate in cross-functional teams, create client materials, and
ensure on-time progress and delivery of our projects. We are looking for
individuals from a wide range of backgrounds with demonstrated quantitative
and problem-solving skills. We value creativity, hard work, and a proven

*RESPONSIBILITIES*

Work with colleagues to structure complex client problems to be solved
using imperfect data  Enhances, finds patterns in, and builds predictive
models on large data sets  Maintain a continuous and independent education
on cutting-edge statistical techniques and programming languages Develop
and adhere to a quality control process   Work with Applied Data Scientist
Managers to derive clear, actionable, and timely insights from
analyses  Work with the Applied Data Scientist Managers to create
presentations that are client-ready, clear, and correct

*Senior Digital Analyst*

As Senior Digital Analyst, you will join the growing Media Team. You will
work closely with clients to understand, define and prioritize their
challenges and how optimizing how they are advertising can create a better
return. You will need to structure hard problems, analyze large digital
data sets to discover patterns, identify solutions, and create client
materials, always making sure insights are understood, pragmatic,
actionable, and on-time. This position will have a wide range of
responsibilities, including client-facing work (report and analysis
production, web analytics, performance measurement), technical capabilities
(ad serving/tracking and bid management platforms, automated dashboards),
product development, and statistical expertise (digital attribution,
regression modeling). This position will help our team design and deploy
cutting edge digital measurement strategies and performance analyses.

*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*

4+ years of experience working with internal or external clients and
providing them with insights based on large digital datasetsFamiliarity
with digital marketing technology: ad servers (DFA, Atlas, etc), enterprise
web analytics packages (Omniture, SiteCatalyst, Google Analytics, etc), TAG
management (Signal, Ensighten, etc), and onboarding partners (LiveRamp,
Neustar, etc)Technical proficiency, as it relates to digital, for ad
serving, onboarding, and tag management platformsStatistical aptitude for
application of statistics to digital data, building of models, and
attributionComfort with database design concepts and the daily usage of SQL
and/or statistical packages (Python, R, etc), as well as PowerPoint and
ExcelExperience in integrating and extracting multiple data sources: web
analytics, ad servers, ecommerce, etc.Experience with campaign stewardship:
aggregation, cleansing, and management of data storage, reporting and
analysis, web analytics, performance measurementBachelor’s degree in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, business
administration or a similarly analytical subject

*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*

Working knowledge of the digital marketplace including DSPs/RTB
technologies, programmatic and audience buying, private marketplaces,
search bid management platforms, etc.Digital or media agency
experienceAdvanced degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics,
statistics, economics, business administration or similarly analytical
subject

*Healthcare Practice Leader*

As the Healthcare Practice Leader, you will own the expansion of our
healthcare services vertical. You will merge your vision of the way
predictive analytics will change the health industry with Civis's extensive
data science and technology solutions to provide best-in-class analytics
services. Additionally, you will oversee the creation of cutting edge
products for our growing roster of healthcare clients.

*RESPONSIBILITIES*

Responsibility for executive-level business development in the healthcare
space, focusing on payers and providersEnd-to-end project management of
healthcare projects, with particular emphasis on problem definition and
solution delivery Development, with the Data Science and Technology
departments, of technology and data solutions for the healthcare
space Active participation in building the practice area through lead
generation and account maintenanceBuilding and managing a team of health
care analysts

*REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative (economics, statistics, mathematics,
computer science) or health (biology) field and 5-7 years of relevant work
experienceIdeal candidates will have a mix of quantitative skills and
consulting experience:2-3 years in a health care organization that works
with individual patients/members AND 2-3 years experience in consulting,
business development, sales, or similar client development to to clients at
the VP and C-level, OR4-6 years experience in consulting, business
development, sales, or similar client development to clients at the VP and
C-level, with 2+ years focusing on the healthcare industry, OR4-6 years in
a health care organization that works with individual patients/members,
with 2+ years in an external client/business development/roleExperience
with the health data of individuals, either at a Payer or a Provider
level.Experience managing multi-disciplinary high-functioning teams on
tight deadlines delivering best-in-class work.Coursework in statistics, or
equivalent work experience with statistical analysis.

*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*

Advanced Degree in a health, business, or quantitative subject Significant
experience with HIPAA data Strong rolodex of executive, decision-making
contacts across the healthcare industryStrength in R, Stata, and/or SQL
