*Job Posting - Director of Research*

As the Director of Research, you will lead research projects that advance
our collective understanding of how we select, train and support corps
members and alumni to maximize impact on student outcomes. These projects
could include analysis of fundamental questions of program (e.g. selection,
placement, preparation, support); development, improvement and maintenance
of predictive modeling (e.g. selection model, retention model, etc); pilot
and program evaluation (may include implementation of randomized controlled
study); execution of short-term strategic insights projects, and more. As
a member of the program continuum research team, you will also have the
opportunity to help shape and evolve the organization’s internal research
portfolio. To excel in this role, you have the ability to translate an
ambiguous problem into concrete questions as well as the ability to
synthesize insights into concrete and actionable recommendations. Strong
analytical skills and comfort and expertise with data is a must. You are
collaborative and at the same time highly independent. You approach your
work analytically and with curiosity, and are comfortable working on a
research team. You have excellent communication skills, enjoy developing
relationships and are comfortable working directly with teachers.
