  We currently have an advertisement for Assistant, Associate and Full
Professor at the University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics
and Evaluation.  Here is a brief description of the expertise we are
seeking:



The successful applicants will have an MD or PhD (or foreign equivalent) in
statistics, spatial statistics, ecology, epidemiology, genetics, population
health, or a related field. The successful applicant will have a proven
record of quantitative research in spatial and temporal modeling of
diseases using multiple and large data sets.

The incumbent(s) will investigate spatial and temporal aspects of
infectious disease burden to provide an improved geospatial evidence-base
for the implementation of disease control. The research undertaken will
include an analysis of the nature, causes, and implications of changing
global patterns of infectious diseases with an exploration of interactions
between climate and vector ecology, and geospatial modelling of major
determinants of infectious diseases, notably urbanization and nutrition.
