Position Announcements – Yale, Department of Sociology

 *Junior Search in Stratification and Inequality*

 The Department of Sociology at Yale University intends to make an
appointment at the rank of untenured Assistant or untenured Associate
Professor beginning July 1, 2016.  The department seeks applicants working
in the field of quantitative analyses of social stratification and
inequality, broadly defined.  Applicants should have a PhD or equivalent
degree at the time of taking up the position. Candidates should submit a
letter of application, CV, three writing samples, a brief research
statement outlining future plans, and three letters of reference.

 *Position Announcement – University of Texas at Austin*

 The Department of Sociology at The University of Texas at Austin is
seeking a faculty member to contribute to its program in health and health
disparities. This is a tenure-track position at the assistant professor
level to begin Fall 2016. The duties will include teaching on the
undergraduate and graduate levels, research, publication, and service to
the department, the College of Liberal Arts, and the university. Applicants
must have a Ph.D. in hand or expected by August 2016, demonstrate a
commitment to teaching excellence, and have a clearly defined research

Position Announcement – Penn State, Hoffman Professor of Sociology

The Department of Sociology and Criminology, The Pennsylvania State
University, University Park campus, invites senior-level applications to
fill the Arnold and Bette Hoffman Professor of Sociology, to begin August
2016. We especially welcome candidates whose research focuses on family
sociology, though we will consider applicants with strong records of
scholarship in all areas of sociology. The position is to be filled at the
rank of Professor and applicants should have scholarly credentials
commensurate with such a rank at major research universities. Candidates
should have a strong publication record and a commitment to securing
external funding and teaching and mentoring students. Information regarding
