Opportunity of Postdoc Fellowships in Social Science at the Center for
Metropolitan Studies (CEM / Cepid)

The Center for Metropolitan Studies (CEM)
<http://cepid.fapesp.br/en/centro/14/> is a Research, Innovation and
Diffusion (RIDC) with support from FAPESP. It is an institution for
advanced research in social science that investigates social inequalities
and the formulation of public policies. It consists of a multidisciplinary
group, which includes demographic researchers, political scientists,
sociologists, geographers and anthropologists, whose research agenda is
focused on citizens’ access to well-being. The CEM researchers work in
several fields of knowledge and apply distinct methodologies in their
investigations.

Postdoctoral Fellows (PD) shall conduct theoretical and/or empirical
research, in addition to other regular activities, such as participation in
seminars, paper writing and the dissemination of research results.

The postdoctoral fellowships are expected to develop projects in one of the
following themes:
1.To understand the independent effect of State policies on social
conditions and inequality reduction.

of redistributive policies, particularly voting behavior and law-making
