Public Policy job search at Rockefeller College, University at Albany

We are looking for a public policy scholar who can contribute to the
emerging field of "policy informatics." This is a relatively new term
that is more specific to the public policy and public administration
disciplines. In layman's terms, we are looking to hire an assistant- or
associate-level public policy faculty member who studies policy problems
using interesting quantitative techniques, such as (but certainly not
limited to) simulation modeling, sophisticated statistical models, "big
data" processing, social network analysis, GIS mapping, or text mining.
We actively seek and support demographic diversity in our faculty and
student body.
To learn more about the Department visit our website at
http://www.albany.edu/rockefeller/pad.shtml

Although posting for the position states a preference for individuals
interested in
environmental policy, we are happy to consider candidates with a focus
in any policy area including health policy. Our department consists of a
collegial and engaged group of scholars, and we have a top-ranked
MPA program with excellent students. We especially value candidates who
have worked with practitioners and/or with grant-writing experience.
This is a hard-money position. I am happy to speak with any potential
candidates about our department and the position.

Please forward this announcement far and wide to individuals that you
might think would be interested in the position. Many thanks!
